The Vox AC30 is a 30 watt, EL84 tube based amplifier. It’s one of our favorite amps of all time. It has all the chime and punch that you can ever ask for. It is truly an iconic amplifier with many modern EL84 amps being based off of it.

This particular amp is 30 watts and is equipped with two Alnico Blue speakers.

The Captures

The captures included in this pack are of the Top Boost channel of this Vox AC30. There are five captures of a variety of gain ranges from clean all the way to dirty, signified by the number in the capture name. Captures 1 and 2 will be clean depending on the guitar you are using and your input settings. Captures 3 - 5 will be more overdriven. We recommend setting your Tonex input trim between 0dB and +2dB.

PLEASE NOTE:

When using these captures, make sure you dial in your input trim to a setting that feels and sounds good with your rig. An input trim of 0 to +2dB on the Tonex pedal will give you a cleaner sound with the captures. If the clean captures seem weak to you, try running them with an input trim of +8.5dB. Ultimately, you will want to test and dial these in depending on your setup. Don’t be afraid to experiment with input trim and the onboard EQ.
